At the first stage, it is necessary to physiologically plunge into a state of peace and quiet. After which you should enter a more psychological phase of inner silence. This means that you distance yourself from anything that might be occupying your thoughts. The vanities of the mortal world cease to overwhelm you. It is best to isolate from memory a certain image that carries a feeling of unclouded, serene relaxation. These can be pleasant memories, abstract moments, or specific emotions associated, for example, with a calm relaxing melody, a light unobtrusive aroma, and the like.

Do not attempt to suppress thought processes, as this will cause the opposite reaction to relaxation. The point is not to pause your thoughts while trying to analyze them, marking them with plus or minus signs. Let them just flow smoothly through your head, turning into a stream of flowing consciousness. Due to everything described above, you will be able to make the transition from rough materiality to a much more refined vision of the world as such.

The first stage of the second phase involves searching in the recesses of the soul (in a state of inner silence) for something most attractive. Don’t try to classify or comprehend it, just isolate it from the flow of other and less significant things. Once you are sure that it is most suitable, begin to carefully wrap it in layers of thought forms. You must come to a very specific understanding of what this sensation is. As soon as the thought form is finally formulated, you will immediately feel a global internal resonance in the form of an incomprehensible harmony between the chosen sensation and its interpretation.

Next, you need to decide on your understanding of faith. You can start from the opposite. Imagine something that is completely untrustworthy. And then try to derive something opposite from this emotion. It is necessary to consider the mechanism of “belief” in the context of a change in the state of consciousness.

The fourth step involves a combination of the previous three, including aspects specific to each of them. You should act measuredly and smoothly, savoring every particle of the psi-space you have recreated. Under conditions of absolute focus on a chosen object, you will notice that your concentration moves into some non-identical space. Don't pay detailed attention, just give yourself entirely to the stream of consciousness. If some psychological discomfort or feeling of fear arises, loosen your concentration a little, distracting yourself with something incidental or belonging to the physical world. This will allow you to slightly slow down your entry into an altered consciousness, giving you the opportunity to gradually get used to the changes taking place.

A necessary condition for the development of magical abilities is the ability to enter an altered state of consciousness (as well as exit it). To do this, you need to learn to change the rhythms of the brain, which are closely related to the processes occurring in our consciousness. Here are the main ones of these rhythms (scientists set their boundaries in different ways, but, in principle, this does not matter much).

  • The beta rhythm is observed during normal wakefulness. With the beta rhythm, the frequency reaches from 14 to 30 vibrations per second.
  • Alpha rhythm (one of the colloquial variants is alpha), also known as the alpha level, the main extrasensory, or the main working level (from 8 to 13 vibrations per second). Rhythm corresponding to hypnotic trance, reverie, night dreams.
  • The theta rhythm (5 to 7 oscillations per second) is recorded during REM sleep. It is the next level of relaxation after alpha.
  • The delta rhythm (from 0.5 to 4 vibrations per second) occurs during deep sleep, during loss of consciousness, but it can be recorded during a state of deep meditation.

During the day, the rhythms of the brain can change - for example, thinking deeply about something or closing your eyes, you enter alpha. However, the ability to use this level varies from person to person. Some spend a significant amount of time in alpha, and some (albeit very few) have difficulty working in it. Our tasks include not only achieving alpha, but also deepening this state, extending the time spent in it and - most importantly - learning to apply it in practice. Over time, you will be able to reach the level of the theta rhythm, which significantly expands your capabilities in the field of extrasensory perception. Before starting classes to achieve an altered state of consciousness, I recommend remembering safety precautions.

Rules for conducting classes to enter the alpha state:

  • We maintain a positive attitude during classes.
  • We turn off the phone and ask family members not to disturb us.
  • We put up protection in the form of a lit candle.
  • We don’t get annoyed if something doesn’t work out.
  • Under no circumstances do we jump to exercises at the next level.
  • We don't overwork ourselves.
  • Keep your back straight (or use the “coachman’s pose”).

Ways to Achieve the Alpha State

1 way to enter the alpha state according to Hewitt

William Hewitt is the author of The Secret Powers of Your Psyche. To master entering the alpha state, you need the ability to visualize and enter a state of complete peace. Close your eyes, relax. Visualize a spiral staircase with ten steps leading down. Go down one step and mentally say: “Deeper level of consciousness.” Continue down the steps, repeating these words at each step.

Having descended to the lowest step, say: “I have now reached the basic level of consciousness, which allows me to begin psychic practice. I can reach this level at will with my eyes open or closed. To do this, I need to mentally count from three to one.” This phrase is also establishing a mark. And to consolidate it, the exercise will have to be repeated... well, three or four times. The fact is that in alpha the label is assigned faster.

To get out of alpha, imagine walking back up the ladder. You can simply open your eyes, but a sudden return to the normal rhythm of the brain is somewhat disorienting, as is a sudden awakening from sleep, so it is better not to use it constantly.

2 Way to Enter the Alpha Brain State: “Down the Rainbow”

To many of our ancestors, the rainbow seemed like a magical bridge leading to other planes of existence. In fact, these seven colors have a great influence on the conscious (and subconscious), and the ability to use them opens the way to new opportunities... One of them is access to the alpha level.

The following phrases (most of them taken from Douglas Monroe's book "21 Lessons of Merlin") are a list of the colors of the rainbow, descending which, like steps, you will reach alpha. You'll have to learn them by heart so you don't get distracted later and start all over again.

  • I am a scarlet fire in the night.
  • I am an orange pumpkin in a field.
  • I am a yellow ray of sunshine.
  • I am the green ancient forest.
  • I am the blue spring sky.
  • I am the blue lake on the plain.
  • I am the purple depth of the sea.

Close your eyes and relax. As you repeat each phrase, focus on the image that appears before your mind's eye. You should not just see a fire or a lake, but feel like it, merge with the color embodied in it. Druids used similar techniques in their practice. (Perhaps for some it will be more convenient not to repeat phrases, but simply to imagine the images mentioned in them.)

If you wish, you can create your own affirmations for entering alpha - the main thing is that the reverse sequence of the colors of the rainbow is maintained and that the images you use are associated with peace and tranquility, and not with anything distracting. To exit alpha you will need to go through the same phrases in reverse order. (As a last resort, just open your eyes.)

A simplified way to enter the alpha state

Visualizing only the colors of the rainbow, without an accompanying image and getting used to it, will help you enter the alpha state. True, it is better to use it after mastering the full version. Of course, later, when reaching alpha is well practiced, you will not need to close your eyes, and also specially find time and place for training (in fact, this will no longer be training, but quite ordinary practice). Over time, deeper levels of consciousness can be reached. However, you should not make this an end in itself - the main thing is not what level you are able to reach, but what you can do at it.

Why enter the alpha state?

We have already studied the entrance to alpha - now about why we actually need it. Let's put it this way: the alpha level gives access to conscious control of subconscious processes. This includes both the usual management of body functions, as well as dealing with ingrained habits (conditioned reflexes, being well learned, also go into the subconscious), and receiving information in the form of sudden insights, and clear recall of the past...

Changing the objective world... In general, this is the most normal state of a psychic magician-bioenergeticist. You can change yourself through alpha in any direction - both psychologically (which is easier) and physically (which takes longer, but also works). Of course, the larger the change, the more effort and time it will require. All energetic work is done in alpha. One of the simplest techniques is the “Alarm Clock”.

"Alarm"

Before going to bed (in alpha, of course), you visualize an alarm clock, set the time at which you want to wake up in the morning, and imagine how it falls into the depths of your brain. After a little training (like everything else), this method works almost one hundred percent, but first, still be on the safe side with a real alarm clock.

Receiving information in the alpha state

The method works best in a state of half-asleep (before bed or immediately after waking up). Enter alpha and ask a question - just like that, into space. The answer will come either in the form of a dream, or will suddenly “knock” in your head, or will appear in the form of some sign from the outside world... (we will talk more about signs a little later). In any case, when he comes, you will understand that this is him.

For some, this method works better if you imagine that you are connected to a luminous pillar - a flow of information permeating the entire world. Or - the technique of shamanic travel - being in the alpha state, you can imagine some kind of helper creature and ask him.

Treatment in alpha

These are some of the many techniques used for self-healing. The essence of one of them is to remember your feelings of health and get used to them, thus activating those resources of the body that are responsible for recovery. It's called the “image of health.” That is, in order to recover, for example, from a cold, you need, immersed in alpha, to remember the state that was before the illness, feel it as clearly as possible and in all details, and then “put it on” your current self. And don’t forget to update it from time to time.

The situation may be more complicated with diseases that appeared a long time ago, but in this case you need to show more patience and get to the bottom of your feelings five, ten or twenty years ago. This may take more than one session, but the result is worth it. You can be treated with imagination: imagine a diseased organ and “remake” it into a normal form. If you see, for example, a diseased kidney that is red, “repaint” it to a normal color; if it looks enlarged, reduce it to the required size and so on. And you can ask your subconscious about what color and shape are normal by tuning into the organ that is bothering you, or find out using one of the above methods of obtaining information. If you are not sure that you understood correctly, try again, and again, until you know exactly what to strive for.

Often, one time effect is either almost non-existent, or it is fleeting, so it is better to repeat the treatment, and more than once. In general, self-healing is a rather interesting and multifaceted thing, sometimes requiring a lot of practice in an altered state of consciousness. In the meantime, don’t forget that self-treatment should under no circumstances replace consultations with a doctor and taking medications.

Building relationships with people at the alpha level

There are situations when it is not possible to achieve understanding with someone in normal communication. Then you can enter the alpha state and imagine in front of you a person with whom you would like to establish a relationship. Explain to him how you see the current situation, what motivates your actions in it. Ask why he behaves this way, how you might have offended him at one time, and what you could do to improve the relationship.

If this person interferes with something or annoys you, ask him to leave you alone. (By the way, in these cases you should try to see something good in him that evokes sympathy, and remember this in subsequent communications with him.) Depending on the situation and your skills in working in alpha, this method may require long training, or it may give results the first or second time.

Alpha Level Training

If you are learning something, then in order for this process to proceed faster and more efficiently, it can be transferred to alpha. For example, you are learning to drive a car. Enter Alpha and imagine the driving process very clearly: everything works out perfectly, you easily cope with all the obstacles that previously caused difficulties, you feel confident and at ease.

If you want, you can also use supporting statements, such as: “I drive very well.” You need to train every day for several weeks for 10-15 minutes (and more if you want). During the training process, pay attention not only to the purely mechanical side of visualization, but also to the sensations that arise - try to remember them and subsequently evoke them while driving the car.

Alpha Level Foresight

The alpha state technique is approximately the same as when receiving information: you send a request which of the scenarios is the most likely (keep in mind that in the vast majority of cases the first thought is correct). Or, entering alpha, you allow events to scroll before your mind's eye. And in order to avoid distortions, you first need to get rid of all thoughts and emotions. (Of course, the ability to foresee the future needs to be developed and honed; at first, failures are possible.)

"! Today we will learn to enter an altered state of consciousness, or alpha state, and we will learn how to do this in 10 seconds. My record for entering the alpha state is 7 seconds, and into a deep state (2-3 seconds for relaxation, the same amount for entering a regular alpha and then a couple of seconds into a deep state of altered consciousness).

Then we will move on to practicing the theta state, although it is possible that you will fall into this state already in the first technique.

The alpha state of the brain allows you to quickly relax the body, enter into deep meditation, receive answers from the subconscious, and effectively reprogram destructive programs. In this state, it is recommended to work with visualizations, affirmations and other techniques.

To begin with, you just need to learn how to enter an altered state of consciousness, and then reduce this time to a minimum (10-15 seconds or less). I entered this state in 7 seconds when I was in a calm state.

I’ll tell you briefly about brain frequencies for those who don’t know what we’re talking about. Brain frequency is waves with a frequency of approximately 0.5 to 40 cycles per second, or 1.5 to 40 Hz. This frequency determines what state we are in: awake, drowsy or deep sleep.

The lower the frequency or less, the closer the person’s state becomes to sleep. The higher the frequency, the faster and more active our brain works.

Don't confuse brain frequency with human frequency. These are completely different systems.

Conventionally, brain frequencies were divided into 5 parts. The brain emits gamma, betta, alpha, theta and delta waves. Now let's take a closer look at each wave.

Gamma waves are the fastest. Their frequency is 30-45 Hz. These waves are generated by the brain in both hemispheres. Consciousness at this frequency works at its maximum. It is believed that these waves begin to be produced when a person needs to simultaneously work with different types of information and at the same time connect them with each other as quickly as possible. As gamma waves decrease, the ability to remember begins to decrease.

Betta waves generated by the left hemisphere of the human brain. Their frequency is from 14 to 30 Hz. They are responsible for logical thinking, concentration, and decision making. Betta waves provide the opportunity to be active in society. They speed up brain function and enhance information processing and absorption. They also enhance the overall energy of the body, excite the nervous system, eliminate drowsiness and sharpen the senses.

Alpha waves. It is with them that we will work today. When you begin to relax with your eyes closed and various images begin to appear in your mind, your imagination begins to work actively and alpha waves appear. Their frequency is from 7 to 14 Hz. Alpha waves are generated by the right hemisphere of the brain.

When an adult is in a relaxed and comfortable state and at the same time retains conscious activity, a sufficient number of alpha waves are produced. Essentially, this is the state before falling asleep.

At this frequency, a person can effectively cope with the tasks assigned to him. Alpha waves greatly enhance the ability to perceive a large amount of information, develop abstract thinking, and help self-control. This frequency is also good for relieving stress, nervous tension and anxiety.

Alpha waves help connect the conscious mind with the subconscious mind (or soul). At this frequency, so-called joy hormones are produced, which help reduce pain and are responsible for a positive outlook on life, happiness, joy and relaxation.

Theta waves bring the body into a state of deep relaxation. This is a state of sleep where dreams can occur. Their frequency is from 4 to 7 Hz. If you master conscious entry into this frequency and conscious stay there, solving many issues will be much easier. I have not yet mastered this state. For now, alpha is enough for me.

In the theta rhythm after heavy exercise, the body can quickly recover. At this frequency, a feeling of bliss and peace appears. Theta waves are generated by the right hemisphere of the brain. They are the boundary between consciousness and subconscious.

Theta waves promote the manifestation of paranormal abilities. They enhance emotions and feelings, and also allow you to program and reprogram the subconscious, and get rid of negative and limiting thinking. For people involved in self-development, mastering this frequency can be of great benefit.

Delta waves. This rhythm begins to work during deep sleep. In the delta state, the body undergoes intensive self-healing and self-healing processes. Delta waves are generated by the right hemisphere of the brain. Their frequency is from 0.5 to 4 Hz.

An altered state of consciousness (ASC) begins with the alpha frequency and at the border of alpha and theta waves.

It is at these frequencies that it is good to reprogram the body. It would be ideal to work at theta frequencies, but this is actually sleep and requires long-term training.

Now we will learn to enter a deep alpha state without a computer and special music. In this state, you can recover in literally 10-15 minutes, find solutions to problems, get answers to troubling questions that you cannot get answers to in a normal state, reconfigure your entire body, reprogram internal programs and beliefs, and tune in to events.

Preparation for practice

You can enter the alpha state while sitting or lying down, whichever is more comfortable for you. If you fall asleep quickly in a relaxed state, this technique is best done while sitting. During your first training, before entering altered states of consciousness, you do not need to set any goals. To begin with, you just need to get good at walking into this state. Before class, we remove all irritating factors: turn off the phone, intercom, close the doors so that relatives do not disturb. Clothes should be loose. If extraneous sounds are still present, wear headphones.

A good time to do this technique is before bed, when everyone in the house is calm. The position should be comfortable; arms and legs should not be crossed.

How to enter the alpha state - practice

We close our eyes and make the first count from 3 to 1 as follows. First, take a deep breath and as you exhale, mentally pronounce the number 3 three times ( three, three, three) and imagine the image of the three in front of the internal screen. Let this image be the one that comes to you. Concentrate your attention on the number. At this time, you relax your body from head to toe.

If you don't know how to relax, first practice relaxing to the point where you can do it in a few seconds. I'm not writing about deep relaxation. Primary general relaxation is enough.

After this you need to lie down for a few seconds. Next, take a deep breath and as you exhale, say the number 2 three times ( two, two, two). All the same. With number 2, you relax your face, cheeks, jaw, back of the head and eyelids. Notice the relaxation of the eyelids. Then lie down for a few seconds or a little longer, as you wish.

Then comes one. We also say the number 1 3 times, not forgetting about the image of the unit. Now we are not relaxing anything, but simply concentrating on one.

Then we lie down for a few seconds and begin the second countdown from 10 to 1. Now there is no need to take deep breaths and exhales. We do everything easily and relaxed. Let's start with ten. We also mentally pronounce the number 10 and imagine it. After 2-3 breaths while exhaling, we mentally pronounce the word "deeper" and mentally we seem to fall into the depths, into something pleasant, like into a pillow.

If at some number you start to get confused and forget what your score is, then you are already in alpha.

This can happen on any number. Once this has happened, there is no need to count anymore. Feel this state. There should be no active thoughts. If thoughts appear, just watch them as if from the outside and they will go away. A large flow of thoughts takes you out of a state of altered consciousness.

If you missed the alpha and fell asleep, it's okay. You just need to practice. If you didn’t get into this state the first time, you are in the state you will be in. It will still be alpha, just not deep.

The state of deep alpha is very pleasant, which is difficult to describe. This is a relaxed state with indescribable depth; it feels good and pleasant. When you get into deep alpha, you will understand this.

Stay in this state as long as you want. If time is limited, you can set an alarm clock with a pleasant melody.

In a normal alpha there is a period when you are overcome by love and happiness. Just observe this state and go deeper. If you want, you can remain in this state, but it is easy to slip through it, it is fleeting. For me, this state happens within a few seconds. Although this state of love may not exist, we are all different.

Sometimes 10-15 minutes in deep alpha can replace 1-2 hours of sleep.

In altered states of consciousness, various images may appear. Observe them and remain aware at the same time so as not to fall asleep. After some time, watching the images, it may dawn on you, you may understand something that you never understood, an interesting thought or idea may come to you, the necessary information that you have long forgotten may emerge in your memory.

Solving Problems Using the Alpha Brain State

In this trance state, you can tune in to solve the necessary problems and simply observe thoughts and images. Once you learn to enter a deep alpha state, you can master problem solving through this technique. Before practice, tune in to solving the desired problem, otherwise you may not remember this in the alpha itself and immerse yourself in the alpha. If you have found a solution to the problem, immediately get out of this state, otherwise you may not remember later.

With the help of an assistant, you can do great things, including writing books. To solve simple one-answer solutions, just enter alpha and observe what is happening there. We received an answer and left alpha.

If you need to receive a large amount of information, it is difficult to remember it. In this case, an assistant would be an ideal option. You received a piece of information in alpha, spoke it out loud and immediately entered alpha again. The assistant wrote down the information.

A new piece of information arrived, was spoken out loud again, the assistant wrote it down again, etc. Thus, you will practically not leave this trance state and dictate information to the assistant. Of course, you can also use a voice recorder for this.

It is very easy to get out of the alpha state. A little effort of will and you are already in betta. When leaving alpha, try to endure this wonderful state that you will have.

Thus, you will become stronger and happier, stress and problems will affect you less and less, you will become a more confident person. I prepared some fragments of texts on this blog using the alpha state.

Most people get into the first shallow alpha the first time. As I already wrote in the article about, it takes 21 days to create new skills. I recommend that you start practicing entering an altered state of consciousness for 21 days. Ideally, this should be done 3 times a day for 3 weeks.

When I started learning to enter a deep alpha state, I practiced 3 times a day and the day came when I entered deep alpha. I immediately felt this and, out of curiosity, looked at the calendar of my classes. And what do you think? It was 21 days of classes. This may be a coincidence, but it seems somewhat natural.

It is very pleasant to do this practice before bed. Of course, not everyone has the opportunity to enter this state 3 times a day. If you want to learn a new ability, look for conditions for practicing. Do this practice at least once a day, but daily. Once you have established this skill, daily practice will no longer be necessary. In order to enter an altered state of consciousness in 10 seconds, it took me about 2 months of daily practice.

Entering Theta

Very often, when entering alpha, a person falls into the theta state. With experience comes control of these states, but if the previous exercise is not enough for you, continue with this addition:

While in alpha, bring your attention to the tip of your chin and keep it there. This will move you to the theta frequency. At first this may take 5-10 minutes, but over time this time can be reduced to a few seconds. Instead of the chin, attention can be transferred to the third eye area.

8 PRINCIPLES OF MIND CONTROL (Peter Carroll. Liber MMM)
To practice magic effectively, one must develop the ability to concentrate until the mind learns to enter a trance-like state. This practice is performed in several stages: absolute stillness of the body, regulation of breathing, stopping thoughts, concentration on sound, concentration on an object and concentration on a mental image.
1. Stillness
Find a comfortable body position and try to stay in this position for as long as possible. Try not to blink or move any part of your body, including your tongue, fingers, etc. Don’t let your mind get lost in long trains of thoughts; rather, passively observe yourself. It may happen that a comfortable position will become uncomfortable over time, but be persistent. Set aside some time for daily practice and take advantage of any idleness that occurs. Record the results in a magical diary. You should not settle for less than five minutes. When you reach 15 minutes, move on to breathing practices.
2. Breathing
Stay as still as possible and begin to gently deepen and slow your breathing. The goal is to use the capacity of the lungs, but without any excessive muscular effort or tension. In order to increase the time of the respiratory cycle, you should leave your lungs full and empty for a while between inhalation and exhalation. Another important note is that the consciousness should be completely concentrated on the processes of inhalation and exhalation. When you can do this for 30 minutes, move on to thought stopping.
3. Stopping thoughts
Stillness and breathing exercises can improve health, but they have no intrinsic value apart from preparing to stop thoughts, the basis of magical trance states. While you are still and breathing deeply, begin to withdraw your awareness from any thoughts that arise. An attempt to do this inevitably plunges the consciousness into a raging storm of activity. Only the greatest determination can win just a few seconds of mental silence, but even that is a triumph. Strive for complete control over the thoughts that arise, and try to increase the period of complete silence. Like physical stillness, mental stillness should be practiced at set times and during any period of idleness. The results should be recorded in a diary.
4. Magical trances
Magic is the science and art of producing changes in accordance with one's will. This will can only become magically effective when the mind is focused and does not interfere with the will. First of all, the mind must be self-disciplined in order to acquire the ability to focus all its attention on some meaningless phenomenon. If an attempt is made to focus on some form of desire, the effect often revolves around the desire for an outcome. Self-centered identification; fear of failure; inducing desire, aimed - due to our dual nature - at not achieving what we want - all this nullifies our efforts and prevents us from achieving results. Therefore, when you choose objects for concentration, do not choose those that carry spiritual, intellectual, emotional or desire-related meaning - choose meaningless things.
5. Concentration on the object
Legends of the evil eye originate in the ability of sorcerers and wizards to make their gaze dead and fixed. This ability should be practiced on any object - a mark on a wall, a distant object, a star in the sky - anything. It is quite difficult to hold an object with an absolutely clear, motionless gaze for more than a few minutes, despite the fact that this can be done for several hours in a row. Any attempt of the eye to move away from the object, any attempt of the mind to think about something else should be stopped. It is often possible to extract occult secrets from things using this technique, but the ability to do this must be developed on meaningless objects.
6. Focus on sound
The part of the mind in which verbalized thoughts arise can be brought under magical control by concentrating on sounds that can be mentally spoken. For this, any simple set of sounds can be selected, for example, “AUM” or “OM”, “ABRAHADABRA”, “YOD HE VAU HE”, “OM MANI PADME HUM”, “ZAZAS ZAZAS NASTANADA ZAZAS”. The selected sound is repeated in the mind constantly to block all other thoughts. No matter how inappropriate the choice of sound may seem, you must persist in repeating it. Sometimes the sound may begin to repeat itself, and may even cause the practitioner to fall asleep. These are encouraging signs. Concentration on sound is key to using words of power, and some forms of spell casting.
7. Concentration on the image
The part of the mind in which imaginative thoughts arise can be brought under magical control by concentrating on the image. A simple figure such as a triangle, a circle, a square, a cross and a crescent is selected and held with the mental sight, without distortion, for as long as possible. Only determined attempts can make the chosen form hold for some time. At first, the image should be imagined with your eyes closed. With increasing practice, you can move on to visualizing objects on an empty surface. This technique is fundamental to working with sigils, and to creating independent thought forms. The three methods of achieving magical trance only produce results when they are performed with fantastic and terrifying determination. These abilities are highly abnormal, and are not usually achieved by human consciousness as they require superhuman concentration, but the rewards for them are very high. In your magical diary, record your daily obligatory work, as well as any additional opportunities that were used. There should be no blank pages.
8. Metamorphoses

An altered state of consciousness is the key through which you can receive anything you want. You just have to ask a question while entering this special state.
