And this is not the worst, much worse was the fact that the Avast antivirus 7 times displayed a message about blocking viruses. Catastrophe.

In emergency mode, I completed all possible processes through the task manager, disconnected from the Internet, as the heavy load on the processor clearly showed that the installation process had not yet been completed and new “nishtyachki” would appear.

And all this at 4 in the morning, I wanted to sleep terribly. That is, for you to understand, the installed Amigo browser turned out to be the least of the problems.

Summary of this story:

Don't trust search engines 100%;
Be sure to install an antivirus, at least the same free Avast;
In the case of a similar situation, you need to disconnect from the Internet and end all third-party processes through the task manager;

And now all these amigo.exe processes hang in the manager, I personally don’t like this, in the end it can even slow down the computer

If there is an Amigo icon in the tray, then right-click on it and select Exit! It is better to close the browser first, and then delete it!

To uninstall Amigo from Windows, click Start and open the Control Panel (if you have Windows 10, then hold down Win + X and select the necessary item there):

Further, without closing the opened folder, you need to return to the task manager and select MailRuUpdater.exe - "End process" or "End task". After that, return to the folder and delete the MailRuUpdater.exe file.

Now you need to remove the file - MailRuUpdater.exe from the startup of the operating system:

in Windows XP and 7, simultaneously activate the keyboard shortcut "Win + R" and enter "msconfig" in the field that opens, then find the MailRuUpdater program on the startup tab and deactivate it;
in Windows 8 - this tab is located directly in the task manager.

To deactivate MailRuUpdater.exe at startup, right-click on the corresponding entry and select the desired action in the context menu.

After successful and complete removal of Amigo from your computer, you must restart the operating system. After the performed operations, the Amigo browser will no longer appear on your system on its own.
